George Frederick Goshawk

George Goshawk, 551835 from number 7 entry SOP Farnborough 1937.

He died in hospital on the 18th April and the funeral was on the 11th May at Ipswich Crematorium.

George was a talented musician, playing almost any instrument that was to hand, not always with the permission of the WO. A popular and mature guy among the relatively unsophisticated lads of those far away times.

Although not later in the best of health he was able to attend one or two of BEPA’s reunions, providing a musical background to members at the bar indulging their capacity for liquid intake.

He was married for many years to Joy, spending their years together in Norfolk.
