From the Shropshire Star 25/5/10
John Rea passed away on May 18th after a long illness aged 88. He worked for the Daily Express and freelanced for other national newspapers as well. He was a photographer involved with reconnaissance during World War II and served in Burma. He was noted for being one of the first photographers in the Midlands to display a 20” x 16” colour photograph in his shop window. John leaves his wife Meryl, sons Simon and Jonathan and grandchildren Clarice and Sebastian.
Funeral took place at Emstrey Crematorium on 25th May 2010.
