Parade Inspection Practice 3

Taken in 1972. APO 35 were “recruited” to do a mock parade so the Photo Gs could practice taking photos of parades, etc., I’m the tall one with glasses being “chatted” to.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the two guys “inspecting” us so if you can put a name to the faces it would be much appreciated.

  1. Frank Geddes and Felix Leathers were the double act who ran 2 MFPU at Gutersloh back in the day with Hunters. Bill Sturgeon was their clerk. When Bill got posted to 2 MUF from the clutch he missed his train and turned up a day late. Frank had Bill’s arrival date as a week earlier and bawled him out for being late, so Bill’s explanation received the response: “For a f####ing WEEK?” Which pretty much set the tone for Bill’s stint at Gut.
